Scholarships that send outstanding village students to college for four years of STEM study.
Public high schools in or near villages are often affordable. Outstanding students who want undergraduate degrees in STEM fields usually are not able to pay for college in larger towns and cities.
Subsistence farming families cannot fund that education on their own. Each year we aim to support a small number of bright students with scholarships that cover a full four years of college.
Why this work
While public high schools located in or near the villages are affordable, outstanding students who wish to pursue undergraduate degrees in STEM fields lack the financial means to attend college.
Subsistence farming communities cannot fund their children's education in bigger towns and cities where these degrees are offered. These scholarship opportunities will target a few bright students each year, sending them to college and supporting them fully for four years.
Intended activities under this pillar will be published as programs are designed with partner communities.
